Sany South Africa Headquarters Base Begin Construction

The Sany South Africa headquarters base project recently broke ground in Johannesburg, South Africa. The base is positioned as a regional manufacturing center, logistics center, and talent center, with an investment of 300 million rand (approximately 115 million yuan). After completion, it is expected to produce 1000 excavators and other engineering machinery equipment annually, with over 200 direct employees.

The South African headquarters base construction project is one of the key construction projects in Sany Group’s overseas strategic planning and layout. The planned construction area of the project is 12500 square meters, including standard factory buildings, administrative office buildings, restaurants, and other areas. The overall construction period of the project is 11 months, and it is planned to be completed and delivered in September 2024. After the completion of the headquarters base project, it will center around South Africa, serve the entire African region, and provide greater support for overseas marketing business of enterprises, enhancing the brand influence of Sany in Africa.

It is understood that Sany has been operating in South Africa since 2005. Over the past 18 years, Sany participated in the construction of almost all major infrastructure projects in South Africa. Among them, during the construction process of the largest thermal power plant project in Africa, Kusilai Power Plant, Sany participated in the entire construction process and undertook the most critical lifting operation of the thermal power plant.

At present, Sany has accumulated sales of approximately 5 billion yuan in the South African market, and this year’s sales are expected to reach 800 million yuan. The new market share of mobile port machinery is over 80%.
